![]() I haven’t seen Prince of Thieves in decades, but I recall it as a dreadful mess, vacillating between leaden seriousness, goofy comedy, gritty brutality, and political correctness - with Rickman’s Sheriff, alas, stuck somewhere between all these moods, never more awkwardly than in the attempted rape of Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio’s Marian. Rickman, who died the next day, had played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, starring Kevin Costner.ĭavid Bowie, alas, never made a Robin Hood movie. Ironically, Bedford’s best-known film role was in Disney’s animated Robin Hood, in which he voiced the legendary outlaw. I happened to be watching Errol Flynn in The Adventures of Robin Hood with my family when I glanced at Twitter during an intermission and learned that Bedford had died. Only Rickman was best known as a film actor Bedford, whose death came between the other two and drew far less attention, worked mostly on the stage. This week the world lost three English performers who were all film actors - though the first, David Bowie, was mainly a musician, and the other two, Alan Rickman and Brian Bedford, were Shakespearean stage actors before making any films. Penalties for assisting such outlaws can be quite steep, but could also be rewarding! These iconic outlaws have long hindered commerce in Nottingham, and have disrupted Prince John and the honorable Sheriffs plans. Wreaking havoc when they are smuggled into the city, it is ill advised for merchants to provide them assistance. ![]() It has also been rumored that The Merry Men (outlaws of notoriety) have been seen frequenting Nottingham. ![]() Lively Merchants can fulfill these orders for added profits as they bring There have been rumors that a Black Market has opened in Nottingham, where demand for contraband is very high, and so are the rewards for those Merchants willing to take a risk! In addition, Special Orders have been being made by especially wealthy patrons of the city. Due to the rise in contraband, the honorable Sheriff has hired two Deputies to assist in the confiscation of illegal goods and to better watch the flow of commodities into our great city. The 6th Player expansion, allows another player to enter Nottingham to sell their wares. Modules include: Laws, Special Orders, Black Market, Merry Men, and the 6th Player expansion, allowing Sheriff of Nottingham to be played with a 6th person. Sheriff of Nottingham: Merry Men is a collection of expansions for the hit game Sheriff of Nottingham! The expansion is modular in nature, allowing players to add some, or all of the extra content to their games of Sheriff of Nottingham. Prepare your illegal goods, follow the new laws, and fulfill the peoples demands! Merry Men join your group in order to profit even more! Two Deputies were hired by the Sheriff in response. This has caused a rise in the number of smugglers, including many experienced thieves. In the last year, the Sheriff has confiscated a lot of illegal goods, but surely he needs help! A Black Market has formed in the alleys, full of special demands from those inside. The rumors about smugglers are all over Nottinghams alleys.
